One of my favorite tragedies is Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo. I have to say, the sad and gloomy scenes that made me cry, made me cry a lot, and I mean a lot. The relationships between the characters made me feel cheerful, but then some relationships made me feel apprehensive and anxious. The reason why Scarlet Heart Ryeo is one of my favorite tragedies is because it truly is a tragic love story. The character interactions, the plot, the beautiful scenery, and especially the music. The music made me feel powerful emotions. It was hurtful when one of the characters the main character interacts with turns his back on her. Sometimes, the music made me feel content and impassioned. But sometimes, or rather, most of the time, the music made me feel bitter, heartbroken, distressed, and dejected. Not only did the music made me feel “down in the dumps,” but the ending made me so very sad I reflected on the ending for a long time, contemplating why the ending was tragic and sorrowful. Every single character in the story experienced pain and suffering, especially the main character and her lover. Despite all the negative emotions I felt, I absolutely loved the roller coaster ride with this story. At first I was angry with the ending, but when I remembered the sweet and heartwarming moments, those moments lifted up my spirits. I will never forget how much emotion I felt with this drama, both the happy and the sad, because the story made me become more appreciative and thankful to the writers. It also taught me that love isn’t easy to keep and can slip away between your fingertips. I promise you, the emotions hit me like a truck.
As I stated before, the music heavily influenced my emotions, two of the most influential songs are Forgetting you and Will Be Back. Forgetting you and Will Be Back are very sorrowful songs that are beautiful. The lyrics of these songs just added more tears and emotions. When these songs were played at the most painfully sad scenes, those scenes became more memorable for me. The songs will forever be close to my heart because the lyrics have such deep meaning.

Since this drama is a Korean Drama, most of the lyrics in the songs are going to be in Korean.
I think that’s really cool that you were made so depressed by a tragedy, but you still love it. It is very difficult for me to enjoy soemthing that ends tragically. However, I do agree that music can change your emotions. I think that is amazing and that is why I love music so much. Whether a movie has joyous music or depressing music that crushes your heart, it is odd that emotions can be so easily manipulated by some sounds. Great job on your blog! I can’t tell you’re really passionate about the subject!
